Fotografia e edição de imagens: o que são arquivos RAW?
- O termo "RAW" significa um formato de arquivo no qual as imagens são salvas. A palavra em inglês "bruto" significa "bruto". Principalmente, apenas câmeras digitais de alta qualidade podem salvar imagens no formato RAW.
- Como regra, as câmeras digitais convertem as fotos tiradas diretamente em um formato de imagem comum, como JPG ou PNG. Os dados da imagem são compactados e o tamanho do arquivo a ser salvo diminui consideravelmente. Isso permite que você tire mais fotos até o cartão de memória estar cheio.
- No entanto, as imagens no formato RAW não tratado têm a vantagem de que a imagem ainda não foi tecnicamente processada. Como a imagem não foi salva como uma imagem JPG menor, ela ocupa muito mais espaço no cartão de memória.
- Devido à grande quantidade de espaço de armazenamento, as imagens RAW não são adequadas para usuários normais de uma câmera digital. A compactação no formato JPG é destinada principalmente a economizar espaço e levar apenas a perdas de baixa qualidade.
